Timeline

An in-depth guide on how to use the Timeline:


  1. To enable the timeline do the following:

  1. After clicking the cogwheel icon another menu will appear:


Toggle timeline


  • Here you will see 2 types of settings. Timeline controls, where you can choose between Mid Timeline, Full Timeline or Hide. You are also presented with an option to enable or disable snapping.


Above it you can also change the video options quality in case of lagging.


  1. After choosing the type of toggle the timeline will open (In my case I selected Mid Timeline):

  1. The timeline is here to help you with editing process by making it more transparent, grouped and easier to pilot:

By clicking on any of the segments in the timeline, it will open the corresponding window, as examples follow:


  • Top bar (SUBTITLES):


Subtitles


By clicking on the subtitle segment "The tiger, Panthera" - a new section appears that lets you edit the subtitles:

Here you can then edit the text the same way you would in the Subtitles tab.


  • Middle bar (FOOTAGES):


Footages


By clicking on the first footage - a new section appears that lets you edit the selected footage.

Here you can then edit the footage the same way you would in the Footages tab.


  • Bottom bar (SPEECH):


Speech


By clicking on the speech segment - a new section appears that lets you edit the selected speech.

Here you can then edit the footage the same way you would in the Speech tab.
