# How to use my own audio?

**How to Upload My Own Voice**

If you prefer to use your own voice for your videos, SmartShort makes it easy to upload custom audio. Follow these steps to incorporate your own voice into your projects:

1. **Prepare Your Audio**: Record your audio clip using your preferred recording software. Make sure the audio is clear and free from background noise for the best results.
2. **Sign In to SmartShort**: Go to [SmartShort](https://www.smartshort.co/), click on **Login**, and sign in with your Google account.
3. **Access the Dashboard**: Navigate to your [dashboard](https://www.smartshort.co/workspace) where you can start a new project or open an existing one.
4. **Start a New Project**: Click on **New Project** to begin creating your video.
5. **Upload Your Audio**: Click on the **Audio** tab. Here, you will find the option to upload audio. Click on it and select the audio file you recorded.
