An in-depth guide on how to use Captions tab:

Captions tab


After clicking on Captions tab you will see a few things on the left side:

  1. By clicking on the text you are able to modify it (add/change/remove) manually.
  2. After clicking on the text you will also see a new window appear in which you can do the following:


Modify text


  • Move (the UP and DOWN arrows) lets you move text from one segment to another, just like in the Footages tab.
  • Trash icon lets you quickly completely remove the selected word.
  • Downwards arrow icon (break line) lets you modify the text so its displayed in a line and not one below the other.
  • Brush icon lets you edit the highlight colour of the text. After clicking the brush you might encounter a few obstacles:
  • Add (the LEFT and RIGHT arrows) lets you add text to the left or right side of the selected text.

  • After clicking the Clock icon a new window will open up that looks like this:

  • Clicking the eye icon will hide the captions in that segment of the footage. CTRL + Click on the eye icon will hide ALL the captions.


Hidden captions


  1. Clicking the + icon adds a new caption segment to your footage.

  • After adding a new caption segment you can modify it as mentioned above.


  1. Additional settings (3 dots - click to toggle):

  • Clicking this button opens up a menu of some additional settings where you can adjust/select: Emoji animation, emoji position and text animation.


!NOTE - You are able to modify Captions with Timeline as well - check TIMELINE article.
